A matter of the mind
A matter of the heart
All this confusion that stirs within me
Surreal, all life is but surreal
The sounds are louder now
The words speak so much clearer
Yet so incoherent that they are merely blurs
A visual of a sound
Motion pictures that scroll across your eyes
Then there you see that one face
A face that you did not allow yourself to see
All those years ago
That face tore you
Your anger teases you and your wall breaks down
The song sings ‘devasted’
But you smile to hide that pain
You are the willing casualty
My mind disconnects me
I see my mortal body with its pains
Take it upon my soul to grieve
Let me smile
Will I see you again?
I want to see you again
But it feels so wrong to feel such joy
I do not deserve your kindness
So these tears will inevitably fall
the unforgiving soul under this smile by glen koh
